Working Equitation Training Day with Sandy Langsford
Time & Location
About the Event
What is WEQ? = Working Equitation aka Dressage with obstacles. If you like dressage or sporting, then you will love WEQ! Why not come along and give it a try.
WEQ is fun and safe, everything is started at the walk and then you increase the pace as you and your horse feel more comfortable. This is a great way to slowly introduce your horse to the obstacles.
We are lucky to have special guest instructor, Sandy Langsford joining us. Sandy is an International Working Equitation Coach and competitor, winning Reserve Champion on a borrowed horse at the 2019 Cross National Cup in Alberta, Canada, as well as competing in numerous WEQ competitions at home including the Nationals. Sandy has been riding all her life and has ridden at FEI Dressage Level and was a former Senior Constable of the NSW Mounted Police before starting her own equestrian business, Equine Sense at Jilliby. Sandy coaches all levels from beginners to more advanced riders.
This clinic is a great opportunity to either learn all about WEQ, or hone your WEQ Dressage & EOH (obstacle) skills. This will not only increase you and your horse’s confidence but give you a goal to strive for. Perhaps even consider entering our WEQ competition at our a mini-comp at GEC on Saturday 28th August.
The day will be run in 2 groups of 5 riders to ensure plenty of individual tuition. Each group will have two 90 minute sessions and the split times allows you to watch the other group while your horse has a breather.
