About the Event
What is a Dressage Protocol Day? A protocol session is great way to get immediate feedback from a Dressage Judge on what you are doing correctly or incorrectly in a dressage test, or even how to do a dressage test. When you book in, you choose a current dressage test (from the Preps to Intermediate 1 level) and you ride that test in front of a Judge who will mark you as if you were riding at a competition. After you have ridden your test, the Judge will get out of her car and explain and give instruction on how you can improve on your movements and therefore, your marks.
We have booked 2 wonderful B Level judges:
1) JULIE JONES (B Level Judge) Julie has a lifetime of experience as a dressage rider and competitor up to FEI level and has been an accredited dressage judge for over 15 years. Julie is currently an EA B Level accredited dressage judge, Young Horse judge, and Para-equestrian judge. Julie has previously trained with World Champion dressage rider Steffen Peters in the USA and is now an active dressage competitor and enjoys the challenges and rewards of daily dressage training; she is passionate about the correct and empathetic training of the dressage horse so that the horse is always a “happy athlete”.
2) Vicki Newham (B Level Judge) Vicki is a B Level, Judge Mentor and Young Horse Dressage Judge and has many successful horses currently competing in the CDI Dressage including Diamond Star. Vicki has many years experience training horses, running Protocol sessions as well as judging at Dressage Competitions.
