Galston, Galston NSW 2159, Australia

About the Event

As we had to sadly cancel the Dressage Competition as the grounds will be too saturated to withstand the 40+ horses in a competition, we have instead organised 2 great instructors who can help you get back into the swing of things and get started again in your dressage training.

What is a Dressage Protocol Day?

A protocol session is great way to get immediate feedback on what you are doing correctly or incorrectly in a dressage test, or even how to do a dressage test. When you book in, you choose a current dressage test (from the Preps to Intermediate 1 level) and you ride that test and will be marked as if you were riding at competition. After you have ridden your test, the Judge will get out of her car and explain and give instruction on how you can improve on your movements and therefore, your marks.

We have booked 2 wonderful dressage trainers:

1) Sue Birch

Sue is a C Level EA Dressage Judge and Judge Mentor, and a National Para-Dressage Judge.  Sue has loved horses all her life.  She was an accredited Level one Dressage Coach for nine years, before branching out to specialise in judging.  Sue has many years experience judging at Dressage Competitions including here at GEC.   Sue is renowned for her kind and encouraging comments and feedback.

2) Camilla Mowbray

Many of you will be familiar with Camilla from our Video Dressage Training Series we posted during the 2021 COVID lockdown.  Having competed successfully at FEI level dressage, (as well as dabbling in eventing and jumping), these days Camilla is most interested in helping riders build a positive, confident relationship with their horses through focusing on the basics of Awareness, Biomechanics, and Communication.  Camilla’s lessons are relaxed, enjoyable experiences for young or green or nervous horses and riders. She promotes ethical, kind and safe interactions with horses.

Cost: $50 for a 45min private session (Members Only)
