Bit Fitting Day with Amarela Equestrian

GEC is proud to offer a Bit fitting Day with Amarela Equestrian - a qualified bit fitting specialist with Bit Bank Australia.

About Amarela Amanda has had a lifelong passion for horses and is the proud mum of two OTT Thoroughbreds competing in Dressage. After one of her horses had to have all front teeth removed due to EOTRH, she found it difficult to find the right bit and someone to help do this. Amanda embarked on a bit fitting journey through Bit Bank Australia with the goal to help others navigate the frustrations of finding the right bit. She has completed extensive training with Bit Bank, Neue Schule Bits and Bomber Bits. She also has a personal understanding of what a difference the right bit makes to the comfort and performance of the horse. She is also a qualified Equine nutritionist so can help with a holistic approach to achieving your goals.

Consultations are normally 1hr – 75mins & we will be running these in groups of 3 on the day.

The consultation starts unmounted where Amanda will assess the horse's mouth & palette, take measurements whilst talking to the rider about their disciplines & any problems that may be experienced. Amanda would proceed to suggest a bit, attach to the bridle & ask the rider to have a ride. Amanda carries a vast array of bits so a few may be tried over the consultation. Bit Bank offers insurance on bits for a fee, so we can trial a bit for up to 30 days & return it for the purchase price refunded if not suitable.

For GEC members, the Consultation price is $60 / horse, normally $100.
