Margaret Turnbull - 2009

One very pleasant piece of business at the 2009 AGM was the nomination and confirmation of Margaret Turnbull as our first Life Member. While GEC has only existed for a bit more than a year, both it and the RSF owe their existence to Margaret and others who lobbied the Council positively and persistently over a period of 20 years. Margaret continues to serve the broader interests of horse owners and riders in the area as our Committee’s Bridle Trail Officer.

Margaret was presented with a Life Membership Certificate and an engraved bronze statue of a horse to commemorate her appointment. This reflects the thanks of GEC and the broader equine and equestrian communities to Margaret , MARRA and others who made it all possible.
